- Callanish Stone Circle: This is one of Scotland’s most magnificent and best-preserved Neolithic monuments. The stone circle consists of 13 stones, thought to have been constructed as an astronomical observatory 1.

- Dunrobin Castle: This is a stately home in Sutherland, in the Highland area of Scotland. It is the largest castle in the northern Highlands with 189 rooms 2.
- Eilean Donan Castle: This is a small tidal island situated at the confluence of three sea lochs in the western Highlands of Scotland. It is one of the most iconic images of Scotland and is recognized all over the world 3.
- The Scottish Crannog Centre: This is an interactive living history museum at Kenmore, Loch Tay. It offers a reconstructed crannog, guided tours, log boats, gift shop, and coffee cabin 4.
- Dunluce Castle: This is a now-ruined medieval castle in Northern Ireland, the seat of Clan McDonnell 5.
- Culzean Castle & Country Park: This is a castle overlooking the Firth of Clyde, near Maybole, Carrick, on the Ayrshire coast of Scotland 6.
- Butt of Lewis: This is the extreme northern tip of the Hebrides and is windswept and rugged, with a very imposing lighthouse, pounding surf, and large colonies 7.
